Andrew P. Nemiroff is an intellectual property attorney with a particular focus on patent, trademarks and copyrights. Andrew has authored and/or reviewed hundreds of technology licenses and contracts, and regularly counsels clients on IP due diligence matters associated with mergers, acquisitions and investments. Andrew also regularly analyzes patents, trademarks and copyrights and provides freedom to operate, invalidity, and non-infringement opinions for his clients.
Utilizing his science background, Andrew represents clients involved in a wide range of technologies, including manufacturers of consumer electronics, magnetic modules, telecommunication devices, transistors and pharmaceutical drugs. Andrew also has extensive experience representing software developers, including those that specialize in audio and video streaming, compression and presentation components.
In addition to his transactional experience, Andrew is also an accomplished IP litigator. He has litigated cases from inception through trial and appeal. Andrew has experience in every aspect of intellectual property litigation, including briefing, claim construction, examining witnesses at trial, and arguing both dispositive and evidentiary motions. Andrew also has experience in both ex parte and inter partes reexaminations.
Andrew earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University. He earned his law degree, cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was a member of the Seton Hall Law Review. Prior to attending law school, he worked as a software development engineer concentrating in presentation layer components.
